Lebron james is so overrated!

All he can do is throw down some dunks or finish around the rim, yes, he can get through traffic and the through downs are nice, but it's not like he can do it every single position.

His jump shots are incosistent, people just love him because of the exciting dunks. Unlike some real good players like Kobe, or Wade.

i hear you man people say he carried the cavs to the finals, he has one of the best supporting casts in the nba, and he is in the east. people need to give kobe credit because he really did carry the franchise on his back and single handedly made the playoffs. why is lebron getting so much credit he is just an average player he could dunk but he cant shoot to save his life

i agree...the only thing lebron is good for is dunks and layups...he does that same dunk everytime, no wonder he's never joined the slam dunk contest..and i know he was in a high school dunk contest and won, but those dunks werent all that great
Lebron is a good player, his dunks are nice, and you're right, his jumpers are inconsistent, but he is overrated.
sure hes not as good a jumpshooter as guys like kobe, but he can get to the rim better. he is also a great all around player as he picks up about 7 rebounds per game and gets about 7 dishes per game. he has the triple double potential every night. nobody else does. id say he's a top three player in the nba right now. plus he's 22 years old. a players prime is around 28-30. if kobe is in his prime now and lebron has 7 years until his prime and they are about equal now, who will be the better player? lebron. hes not the best now but people love his potential. he's already one of hte best and will get better. dont forget, his jumpshot is great and he singlehandedly took down the pistons. im a spurs fan

LeBron is not overrated. He almost single-handedly got Cleveland to the NBA Finals. The problem with LeBron is that he doesn't have much of a supporting cast and, thus, has to literally carry his team.

If you want to talk about overrated, look further down in LeBron's draft class at an overrated piece of white trash drafted by Chicago. That guy has absolutely no business playing in the NBA.

his ability to drive and dunk or make the layup +1 is MONEY in the bank. Thats whats great about him. His jumpers getting a lil more consistent. He just needs that killer instinct, no more mr nice guy

dunno. he is very overrated. i think the public just latched on to someone and tried to make him better than he is by talking about him all the time. i think they're just trying to rekindle some sort of interest in basketball since its fanbase has dropped a lot so they're just trying to create talking points. they actually talked about this on PTI today. and i agree. always have. he is WAY overrated. they keep compairing him to michael jordan. um.....no. he is NO michael jordan. wonderboy there cant even get his team through the playoffs. and im sick of him being called "king". thats the most retarded thing about it. he's just an average player and they're calling him king? come on! gimme a break.
Well, I'm sitting here, watching the USA beat Uruguay and who is the big star? It's Lebron James who is having an absolutely fantastic night! He can drop a shot from anywhere. I think there is more class in this team than I have ever seen before. Amare Stoudamire, Kobe, Chauncey, etc. but the most exciting player is the one you call "overrated". Go Lebron!
Yeah, he just got a team of a bunch of overpaid scrubs to the Eastern finals and has a great all-around game. He really sucks. Jeez, if he played with someone like, say Shaq, he might have some titles too. Then he'd really be overrated, moron.

Lebron isnt overrated! The guy deserves it! He's young yet so good, carrying a bunch of dodos to the Finals. Wow! Thats worth praising. Sure, he isnt as good as Kobe or other experienced players but he will and someday he will be the next Jordan. His playing style is good but he lacks clutch and defense but he handles the Cavs team which is compiled of a bunch of sick asses. Big Z cant do anything and was injured. Larry Hughes is OK! As for Marshall, Gooden %26amp; the others- they cant play for nuts.

Well, being from akron myself, maybe it's because he came out of an area where nobody ever makes anything of in life, it's called Akron Ohio and just like every other big city in the U.S. it's a drug infested ghetto that usually doesn't ever have anything to give to the world.

Be easy on the man please, I know LeBron hasn't been a very good player during his long and boring nba carreer but why do you have to trash him so much. Just because he sucks at scoring (26.7 ppg, any bozo off the streets can average that their first four years), rebounding (6.7 rebounds, woww lebron Wade is a guard and he got 4.7 pergame. you suck!) and just a horrid passer (6.4 assists. Jesus how can someone have such a pathetic number when you have offensive studs on your team such as future hall of famer big Z, and Pavlovic?) , he sucks at stealing the ball too.

but anyways, i stilll believe that he's a good player despite the fact that he has not led a team as great as the cleveland cavaliers anywhere (nba finals...when daniel gibson is one of your teams two best players you should be sweeping any team in your way) and he has never performed well in the 4th quarter/overtime of any important game(James' career playoff-high 48 points - including his team's final 25 and 29 of its final 30 = lameee. It was against a team that has always sucked at defense and never done anything in the playoffs before) but anyways, he's only 22!

even though he is an overrated player who doesn't do anything that extraordinary on the court, he might one day become a decent player(don't hold your breath on this pick of a bust though)
Follwoing tht criteria yah, Now, I'm not a huge Lebron fan but he is one of the best. He can do all you described and more. he has a decent jumpshot now and sometimes can carry his team, he still needs to work on finishing a drive though if the lane closes. But you are right, Wade and Kobe and Carmello are better.
He's not overrated, he's unstoppable.. Can't too many people guard LeBron, and he will only get better as time goes on..
